What’s It About?
This workshop will examine dilemmas that insurance professionals face through a series of real-life scenarios. In discussing the situations presented, attendees will explore the traits of successful leaders and ethical persons to examine similarities and determine desirable traits. In resolving dilemmas, attendees will discuss how barriers impede ethical decisions and how to overcome those barriers. The use of thought provoking case studies will give attendees an opportunity to examine dilemmas from a variety of perspectives.

What You’ll Learn
Following this workshop, attendees will have a better understanding of how to make ethical decisions and the impact of those decisions on their organization’s culture.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to recognize and analyze the ethical dilemmas insurance leaders face.
  • Develop tools for making ethical decisions.
  • How ethical choices play a key role in professionalism.
  • The impact of a constituent’s perspective on the decision-making process.

Insurance professionals today face more challenges than ever before. Developing skills to make the right choices has impact far beyond the individual. This seminar will set tomorrow’s leaders on the path to developing the skills needed to accept those challenges and succeed.

Spread the Word!

It’s time to “Spread the Word!” about your CPCU designation!

These tips will help you increase awareness of your designation and launch your participation in the “Spread the Word!” campaign. Don’t forget—by “Spreading the Word!” you are increasing awareness of the attributes of your CPCU designation—commitment to ethics, relevant insurance experience, and practical insurance knowledge. Being a CPCU sets you apart in the P/C insurance industry!

TIP Include “CPCU” after your name. Use your CPCU letters after your name in all business correspondence—it is an official part of your name! This is a simple way to let others know you are a CPCU. Remember to update your business card to include your CPCU designation. TIP Use technology to “Spread the Word!” with CPCU CD-ROMs. The CPCU CD-ROM includes a brief presentation about the value of the CPCU designation. See your free enclosed sample. This tool is great for presentations or include a copy in mailings. Send an e-mail to visibility@cpcusociety.org for more information on how to order a supply of CPCU CD-ROMs.

TIP Write a message about CPCU in your e-mail signature. Update your e-mail signature with a quick note about your CPCU designation. Consider listing one of the following messages after your contact information, or create your own:

· Ask me about my CPCU designation! · I just earned my CPCU designation—visit www.cpcusociety.org to learn more about it! · Want to learn more about my CPCU designation? Visit www.cpcusociety.org. · What’s a CPCU? Slip in your business card and use it when you travel, or attach it to your briefcase or laptop bag. Some Society members even use the tag as a badge carrier at their workplace. TIP Talk About CPCU.
